The objective of this blog is to demystify the functions and departments of an Information Technology company.  With the phenomenal growth that the IT companies witnessed in the last 2 decades, IT jobs have become one of the most coveted professions in the world.  However, besides the people who have studied computer science, largely an IT organization remains a mystery to aspiring applicants.   With this blog our intent is to provide different career paths that are available to people with different skillsets in a software company.  This blog will serve to provide information about Information technology services and software companies, how they are structured and the responsibilities of each of these departments.  This blog will serve as resource for all non-technology related jobs in a software products or services company.   This will work on breaking the myth that only Computer Science or IT graduates can work in a Information technology related company.

We also aspire to provide non-technical graduates and lateral workers working in different industries ideas on what are the potential job opportunities in software companies without having an engineering or a science degree.  

In addition this blog will also be a good resource for new entrants into an IT organization, to understand the workings between different departments.
